Meet our Founders

Udit Co-Founder

A workaholic with a drive to create something new every day, our co-founder Udit was born to inspire. With textiles running in his DNA, his immense knowledge of fabric makes Duara a go-to bespoke brand for menswear tailoring. Forever traveling and meeting new people from creative fields, Udit thrives on his passion to excel in the ever-growing fashion industry that he now calls home.

Udit dived into the arts with his degree from the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago and a tailoring course at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. He further honed his fashion skills with a course in Fashion Styling at Central Saint Martins and an internship with Coach. He currently works two jobs - managing operations and marketing for Duara and designing jacquards at his family’s textile business.

Ayesha Co-Founder

Our co founder Ayesha is an inveterate dreamer, with a natural flair for design and fashion. Her sharply honed aesthetic, thorough knowledge of the craft and eye for detail are what sets Duara apart. She draws inspiration from languages, poetry, art and travel - channelising her inspirations into her work.

Ayesha graduated from the London College of Fashion with a degree in Fashion Design and Technology. She collaborated and worked with British designer Hermione de Paula before coming back to her hometown, Bombay, to work with Indian designer Narendra Kumar for two years. While working with Narendra, she hosted a fashion show in Warsaw, Poland, and assisted him in designing two collections for Lakme Fashion Week, Mumbai. Her internships with Cherie D, Neeta Lulla and Vogue have readied her to take on the industry with her own design practice.
